A curiosity for the photographic arts, and a tendency to think outside of the box, led Derek Bouza to purchase his first quadcopter in 2014. By traveling across the United States, and to parts of Europe and the Amazon River in Peru, Derek was able to capture some of the most stunning aerial footage. Taking his time to ensure he gets the perfect angle every time, Derek’s photos and videos are always spectacular. The self-taught drone pilot quickly realized his new passion could become a full-time business. Ninth Planet Media was formed in 2015, specializing in local and travel aerial photography and videography. The business operates out of Nashville, TN, where Derek has called home since 2010. Derek has taken photos and video for clients in real estate, private development, business promotions and marketing, television and film, as well as nature scenes for his own personal portfolio.
